What This Kit Is NOT Suitable For

• More than 4 camera positions — This is a 4-channel
  DVR and cannot be expanded beyond 4 cameras.
  For 8-camera coverage, an 8-channel Hikvision kit

• IP camera systems — This kit uses analog HD cameras
  connected via BNC cable to a DVR. It is not an
  IP camera NVR system. IP cameras connect over
  Ethernet cable and offer higher resolution and
  remote management features.
  For IP camera systems, ask Yasaf about
  Hikvision NVR kits.
• Recording without a hard drive — If the kit variant
  you receive does not include a hard drive,
  the DVR will not record until one is installed.
  Confirm HDD inclusion before ordering or
  purchase a compatible surveillance HDD from
  Yasaf Tech Centre at the same time.
• Very long cable runs — Pre-made BNC cables have
  fixed lengths. For camera positions more than
  20–30 metres from the DVR, custom cable runs
  using RG59 coaxial cable are needed.

Hard Drive — Do You Need One?

The DVR in this kit has one SATA hard drive slot
and supports drives up to 8TB. Without a hard drive,
the DVR streams live footage but does not record.
For continuous 24/7 recording from 4 cameras at
1080p, storage consumption is approximately:

Motion-triggered recording extends these durations
significantly — most installations with motion recording

Does the kit include a hard drive?
This depends on the specific variant in stock.
Some variants include a 1TB or 2TB surveillance HDD,

Can I view the cameras on my phone?
Yes. Download the free Hik-Connect app on iOS or Android,
add the DVR using its serial number or IP address,
and you can watch live footage and receive motion
alerts from anywhere with an internet connection.
The DVR needs to be connected to your router
via Ethernet for remote viewing to work.

Can I add more cameras later?
No. The 4-channel DVR supports exactly 4 cameras.
To expand beyond 4 cameras you need an 8-channel
or 16-channel DVR. If you anticipate needing more
cameras in future, contact Yasaf Tech Centre to
discuss starting with an 8-channel kit instead.

Does it work during a power outage?
No. The DVR and cameras require mains power.
During a power outage the system goes offline
and stops recording. For continuous recording
during outages, connect the DVR and cameras
to a UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply).
